Tent Village

The Tent Village is a nuanced view into the lives of roadside tent dwellers in India, filmed by their teenaged children. It is an unflinching yet gentle exploration of the inter-play between external oppression, internalized self-defeat, and hope. The uniqueness of the film comes through the young women's perspective, having worked as beggars and garbage collectors before being educated.
