Vermont PBS announced today the launch of a brand new channel and web stream just for families, Vermont PBS Kids. Starting on Monday, January 16, Vermont PBS Kids will give families of young children more flexibility to watch when it is convenient for them, and on the platform of their choice. Vermont PBS and The Skinny Pancake are pleased to announce The Local Motive, a new, six-part television series that explores Vermont’s Farm to Plate food system, the most comprehensive local food system plan in the country. The Local Motive will air on Vermont PBS starting Thursday, January 19, 2017. The project is a collaboration between The Skinny Pancake, Vermont PBS and Jaime Williams of Von Dier Video Productions. Phil Scott’s Inauguration as the Governor of Vermont will be carried live on Vermont PBS on Thursday, January 5 starting at 1:30. Vermont PBS will carry the live broadcast on its main channel, stream it live at vermontpbs.org/live, and also broadcast it via Facebook Live. The broadcast will also re-air at 8 pm that night.
