December 20, 2016 - Vermont PBS Announces Winter/Spring Season of Made Here - Craft Beer, Skiing and Farming Get Local Focus on Vermont PBS

Winter sports, craft beer, farm life and so much more defines life in modern Vermont. All these topics and many more get center stage on a second season of Made Here, Vermont PBS’s ongoing series of films created by regional filmmakers. In this new collaboration, Vermont’s statewide public television resource is working with a growing number of local partners and filmmakers to make more of our region’s great independent films available for all to enjoy. Download full release (pdf)

December 12 - Vermont PBS Kicks off Archive Project with Never-Before-Seen

Episode of Profile, Plus Eight Additional Episodes

Vermont PBS today announced the re-airing of Profile, its highly popular show featuring Fran Stoddard. Profile will air starting with a never-before-seen Profile Special featuring renowned actor William H. Macy (Fargo, Pleasantville), who once attended Goddard College, on Thursday, December 15th at 7:30. A selection of eight Profile episodes hand-picked by Stoddard will air on subsequent Thursdays at 7:30. Download full release (pdf)

November 14 - Vermont PBS Names Vice President for Development

Vermont PBS, Vermont’s state-wide public television station, is pleased to announce that Stacie Sears Fagan will join its staff as Vice President for Development.

A resident of Shelburne, Stacie has extensive experience developing philanthropic support for educational and environmental causes, including the Environmental Defense Fund, Naropa University, St. Lawrence University, Middlebury College and the American Wind Wildlife Institute (AWWI). Most recently, Fagan established and led the revenue strategy for AWWI, working closely with donors and board members to implement the organization’s objectives. Download full release (pdf)

November 10, 2016 - Vermont PBS’ New Episodes of InnoVaTe hosted by Victoria Taylor Profiles Tech-Savvy Vermonters

October 24, 2016 - Vermont PBS Brings POV’s Justine Nagan to Vermont International Film Festival

Vermont PBS is pleased to announce a rich partnership with the 2016 Vermont International Film Festival (VTIFF), as it presents two events for film buffs featuring Justine Nagan, executive producer of the PBS series, POV, and film producer Lori Cheatle. Download full release (pdf)

September 15, 2016 - Vermont PBS Launches New On-Demand Streaming Service

Vermont PBS is pleased to announce the introduction of a new video streaming service that provides member access to a rich library of public television programming. Called VTPBS Passport, the service is available via the web at VermontPBS.org, as well as on other digital platforms such as the PBS app, Roku, AppleTV and more. Download full release (pdf)


September 6, 2016 - Vermont PBS Announces "Made Here"

Vermont PBS today announced a new emphasis on locally produced content as the cornerstone of its groundbreaking new fall season. August 16, 2016 - Gubernatorial Forum on Education on Vermont PBS

The first post-primary debate between Sue Minter and Phil Scott will be live on Vermont PBS and hosted by the Vermont NEA. Moderated by Peter Hirschfeld (VPR) and Lola Duffort (Rutland Herald). Monday, August 22, 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm.

July 25, 2016 - Republican and Democratic Gubernatorial Debates on Vermont PBS

Vermont PBS is hosting two gubernatorial debates, one Democratic and one Republican, featuring all legal major party candidates on the ballot.Republican candidates: Monday, August 1, 8-9 pm Democratic candidates: Tuesday, August 2, 8-9 pm. Download full release (pdf)

July 14, 2016 - Gubernatorial Forum on Climate Change and Economic Impact on Vermont PBS

Five major party candidates for Governor will convene on Tuesday, July 19, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm to discuss Vermont’s economic future in the time of climate change. This forum is sponsored by VCRD (Vermont Council on Rural Development), and is free and open to the public. Download full release (pdf)

April 18, 2016 - Vermont PBS’ Qulture Nominated for a New England Emmy

March 21, 2016 - Vermont’s Leading Poets Get the Spotlight on Vermont PBS

Vermont PBS welcomes Spring – and April’s National Poetry Month – with a celebration of Vermont poetry in its new series, Poets and Their Craft. The ten-part series, launching both on-air and online, puts a spotlight on some of the state’s leading poets as they give intimate readings and reflect on the creative process.

March 8, 2016 - “Pure Maple!” celebrates the sweet taste of Vermont on Vermont PBS

Vermont PBS taps into spring with its’ newest cooking special, Pure Maple! Tune in to celebrate the official taste of Vermont, and get some great recipes to wow your friends and family.
